He said that he was taking his holster with him when he "checked out" ~ So SERIOUSLY (In The Humor & Off Topic Area Of The Forum)

Since we ALL gotta go...eventually......how many of you want to actually be buried with a handgun/firearm????

Where I might be going....I'm probably taking my Galil with me & a few 50 round mags.

Soooo....Do you intend to be "planted" with a firearm...Yes or No?
    Chime in.

Yeah, I guess I would like to have one buried with me. Which one depends on what my surviving family plans on doing with my guns....

Yep. A Glock,a nice sword and several types of armor, as well as some ammo, for whatever "nasties" I may come across.
I'm hoping for a flaming burial on water, but the way laws are now, I may have to settle for a mound.

The idea appeals but practicality will win the day.

I plan to be roasted and so not very easy to have a piece in the old furnace I think plus - if really honest, I hate the thought of ''wasting'' a good piece of equipment.

No, I'll take my mental images with me and hope that dispersal of whatever I have when I pop will be satisfactory re family, friends and any sales beyond. New homes for all.

Hey QK, what do you mean we all have to go sometime? I'm still young enough that I know I'm invincible! I plan on picking up a couple of swords, :medievals :samurai02 sticking around forever, and quoting lines from bad 80's movies, "There can be only one!" :fight:

I'm glad the missus has learned to just pat me on the head when I say things like that.

I sure can see an advantage to Stainless Steel for long term internment.
I'll probably get exhumed for forensic testing as soon as some "crack detective" finally figures out that my wife did me in.
I'll see to it that detective gets a nice Stainless Colt for his trouble. He'll just hafta rinse the mud and worms off of it & it will be good as new.

No sense taking a working firearm with me...I'll be non-functional at that time, and might as well leave them to someone who may still need a good weapon.

Oh, and, QK....won't they just assume that your wife did you in?

You should have taught her the way my brother did...

A couple of years ago, I visited my brother and sister-in-law in Prescott, AZ, and one afternoon went shooting outside of town with the sis-in-law (brother was working) at a dry wash with nice, sandy banks. We were shooting at 1 gallon milk jugs filled with water, and she had her "LadySmith" S&W .38.
Shooting from about 20 feet away, she was hitting a good 3 feet high every time...I stood behind her and could see that her sight alignment was way off. I showed her how to center the front blade sight in the rear notch, and from then on, it was a hit with every shot.

That evening, we told my brother about our day shooting, and sis-in-law proudly explained about what a competent shot she had become.

Later, when we were alone, my brother chewed my butt...he told me he had taught her to shoot that way so that he would only have to duck low and run if she got mad at him....
I'm pretty sure he was kidding...
