My wife showed me this this morning. Her response........"looks like he broke at least 3 of the 4 rules!"
......either that, or it wasn't the accident they're reporting.![]()

Let's all list rules this moron broke I'll start.... He didn't make sure the room was clear.
Mixed Martial Arts Record= 2-0.......Kyokushin Karate Record=5-0
USMC.....helping enemies of America die for their countries since 1775
so why do people keep shooting themselves while "cleaning"? (other then being stupid) I can see an accidental discharge while holstering, or drawing, maybe while loading. But while cleaning? Isn't that the part where you take the gun appart and the bullets will fall out if you didn't take them out ahead of time?

Seems more people are accidentally shot with "unloaded" guns than with loaded guns.

Hmmm.....never understood the point of an unloaded firearm!

Why is it that alot of these scenarios are kinda hard for me to believe? Just too stupid for me I guess. I'm thinking there would have been only one bullet fired if it was an accident, and placing one's hand in the way accidentally to make it look like an accident is well---not so accidental. Again---way too stupid. I say if it is eventually determined to be an accident---lock this guy up anyway for being too stupid. It is very sad to think though.
I have heard that story a million times over.
I'd bet $1000 he was cleaning a striker fired gun (glock, kahr, etc), had his left hand on the takedown lever, left palm over the muzzle, and pulled the trigger to get the slide off.
I'm left wondering if it was an accident at all...

struck me weird when they said, "he admitted to accidentally shooting his wife."
Do you really think he would admit to intentionally shooting his wife?
But who am I to say anything, I live 25 miles from the guy who shot & killed his wife while using his gun to install his satellite dish last month! (to my dismay, they totally let him off the hook chalking it up to a tragic accident instead of sending a message by charging for gross negligence or reckless endangerment. While the utmost in tragic, sometimes you just have to send a message that you can't use a gun in place of an electric drill. I feel there was no accountability for the loss of life, in that case!
