How Many Would ?to All Texans

I'm curious,if the great state of Texas was to put out a notice in all the press, calling for all of her sons and daughters to come back home because of a national emergency how many would do it? Are all Texans loyal enough no matter where they are currently living to do this?sj

I think there is a great number that would, more native Texans than anyone else. Not being a native Texan, but moving here when I was 7 I can say there is a certain sense of pride in TX that I have not seen as much of in other states I've been to (not to say that it isn't there, I just haven't seen it).

TX prides itself on its history, so much so I think we are the only state where the history of the state is a whole course by itself. As far as I know we are also the only state that can legally secede from the Union, not that we ever would since our knucklehead Governor would then be our President .

Are there any displaced Texans out there, you are always welcome home!

....Heck, I think that if Texas were to put out that kind of call I'd head back just because my grandmother's from Texas.

Well I came back after my time in the Gulf, so I think we would have quite a few people coming to help.

    It's Texas....It's different here.

USP,I moved to K.C for 2 years but moved back because I couldn't stand the place. My son and grandkids are there and theres no hope for them ever to move back here as much as I would like them to.My wife said she was ready to move back also, even though it would mean not seeing the grandkids as much.We breathed a sigh of relief when we crossed the red river because we knew we were back home where we belong.People from other states just don't know how we feel about our state.sj

When traveling to Europe and having co-workers in the NL and UK asking about where I live, I always showed them a map of Texas as compared to France.

The looks I got were classic!

Were it a real emergency and they needed me I'd run back like the devil himself were after me.
I'm a bit farther north now and have roots down (kinda brought texas with me and converted all the neighbors, LOL!) but in a real Jericho style call from the Motherland I'd not even think twice.

Of course we'd have to make room for all those coming back. I vote we export from Houston and inner city Dallas.
