A Bunch Of Dummys On The Forum
I know I had you folks "going there" for a minute or two.
I just turned a box of these up in my basement. A full box of Vietnam Era (I think?) .45acp MILITARY DUMMY inert Cartridges. I forgot that I even had them.
Anyway...I'm guessing that these are almost "antique" already so...I thought I would post a photo of them...just for the heckovit.
Primer pocket is not drilled.
They are hard cast lead roundnose ball.
What is really kinda neat is that the brass has not tarnished or darkened AT ALL.
It looks like it might be passified with a zinc or tin type flash coat.
The brass looks like it has some sort of a "rainbow" transparent sheen to it.
I wonder why ammo makers don't do that with all cartridge brass?
BTW How does this pic look to anybody/everybody?
I am trying to take some pics indoors & without flash.
I bought one of those Natural Light Flood Light bulbs & set my camera for Outdoors...since that is where most natural light is usually found.
The Simulated Natural Light sure does not look too "natural" to me.
KC135 Thanks for the info.
And....Hey Chris Thanks for the photo info...I'm working on it.
I guess I wasted $15.00 on that NATURAL Sunlight Flood light.
I am rummaging through the basement & the 3rd floor & unpacking some stacks of boxes of "My Personal Stuff" that I probably should have unpacked about 10 years ago. :chairshot
I still have some more books to locate.
Just found a big fat 20' Black Anaconda skin & some Kudu horns & and old C.W.calvary sword & my fave~o~rite Moose Foot Ashtray.
And what else...??? A BIG Sawfish Bill & some nice old carved Blackwood African fertility carvings.
And an ancient S. American blow gun with quiver of Curare poison~tipped darts. I had better pack that back away.
Dried curare does not get less poisonous with age. I don't want my dog to get into my darts. I don't want a croaked Cocker for a pet. :dead:
Nobody ever needs one of those on display.
And my old medical Human Skull and a pair of Tony Lama elephant hide boots.
Sadly, The feathers on My "Charlie One Horse" Rattlesnake Head Stetson hat got eaten by moths?? Something sure ate those feathers up.
I didn't think moths ate feathers...I guess they do.:dead:
All of these strange things...that my Wife said that she never wanted to see again...when we moved to this house.
I already have one of those.
One is enough of a handful. :silly:
BTW: I think I got those pics to turn out a little better.
It's REALLY getting to be time for a new digital camera though.
