Way to go and we look forward to having you in TX. I think the rule is that if you marry a Texan you have to move here, so be sure to check that out and follow the rules!

I'm married 40 years. I still remember the day that I asked my future father-in-law for his daughters hand. He didn't have a clue it was coming.
    Now my future Mother-in-Law knew!!!
I was leaning against the stove in the kitchen and I think I wanted somebody to light it. I was scared to death.

go for it and don't be surprised if her Mom knows.. Now her Dad may go for a a shotgun. But your future bride will stop him. I hope

    Good luck and God Speed.

Well good luck to you, and don't be afraid to look "Dad" in the eye and ask him very respectfully. Be direct and forthright with him.

I hope it all goes well.
I will support gun control when you can guarantee all guns are removed from this planet. That includes military and law enforcement. When you can accomplish that, then I will be the last person to lay down my gun. Then I will carry the weapon that replaces the gun.

No I have not but I would hope so after dropping a cool 2500 on the engagement ring but that is a small price to pay to have a beautiful, loving woman to lay down with in my arms at night and to wake up to in the morning now that no price can be put on.

Congrats, and glad to see you doing things the right way.
You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, "I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along." . . . You must do the thing you think you cannot do. Eleanor Roosevelt

Trust me I love everything about her so I am not wanting to get rid or change anything about her. I made it here safe and in one piece. I am going to ask the dad tommrow night after dinner Then saturday take her to dinner some where in San antonio no Idea as to where as of yet. I am going to propose on the Riverwalk in San Antonio at night while on the river . And then cap the weekend off and go to seaworld.

Good luck to you!! My gf's dad has already refused to say yes and we're not even close to having me ask. Sounds like you have it all planned out too! Another +1 for chivalry, and KEEP US UPDATED!
