The tentative date is either christmas eve or day after. She supports my gun sickness. She knows I put her needs and wellbeing before everything else.

My hat is off to you, may you enjoy many years with your new wife. My ex-son-in-law didn't ask and my mistake was not running him off when I had the chance. He dated my daughter for 4 years but 11 months after a $16,000 wedding he kicked my daughter out while having an affair with a gal who's husband was in Iraq. Sounds like your getting a proper start. Just make sure your ready to settle down. I married my wife 30 years ago 3 months after I met her. Make the same kind of commitment. By the way my wife already owned 6 gun when I met her. After 30 years we have collected a bunch and she never gives me a hard time for buying a gun.

Trust me I am in it for keeps. I am in ROTC for AF so I got another yr and then I will be a 2nd LT. I do everything I can to provide for and protect her and will continue until I take my last breath. I got her a little .380 and she knows how to shoot and now the next thing is to get her a concealed carry permit and she will be good to go. And the commitment thing is no worry I have had and still do have great examples to learn from my grandparents were married for 50 yrs and my parents been together now for 26 dad met mom and married after 3 months and her and I have been together almost about six so I am going to make it work at all costs. And I put her and her needs before mine so trust me I have made that comittment and will die standing by it. I am a mix of old fashion and the new stuff. But most of the time I do things the old fashion way and it gets me futher and better off because of the people I come in contact with are and have been raised the old fashion way and I try to be a example of a southern gentleman in everything I do. And thanks for the congrats and well wishes and I will keep everyone updated as new things happen.

I so wish my daughter could have married a stand up guy. For her to waste 5 years of her life on him (4 dating & mo married) frosts my butt. Sounds like you have the grounding and family to make it through this. By the way my wife and I are both retired MSgts from the Air Force. Have a great life sir.
