There was discussion on a Cowboy Action forum, not too long ago, about ejected rifle brass and brass burns among the lady shooters.
Discussion involved low necklines and falling brass dropping in between the ladies' ahh ...
their, ummm ...
The ladies said they learned to wear high necklines!

been burned once by a hot .22 lr shell casing and a too low t shirt, it left a blister, and that guy showed good control.

Haven't had that happen, but I've had brass go down my collar, down my sleeve, get lodged between my shooting glasses and my head...
I think I've had brass go every where BUT there.

Couple of years ago, a good friend of mine was wearing this outfit during a CAS match. She shoots with a Winchester '73 in 357 mag and if you've never been around one, they eject the brass straight up. Needless to say, a chunk of 357 brass went right down the front. I think that's the worst one I've had. 45 Colt brass right between my eyelid and glasses.

I had a couple rounds from an m16 bounce off the lane divider and go down the back of my t-shirt by the time i got them out it was only a fraction of a second the area blistered up and peeled later

With a loaded gun in hand, it's definitely a grin-and-bear-it exercise in simple willpower. I'm all for getting it gone, but the heat dies down after a couple seconds, and whatever blistering is going to occur already has by the time you react. So, ho hum.

I had a piece of M60 brass apparently catch a weird bounce and end up going down the back of my BDU shirt......while I was wearing LBE......and sitting in the right front seat of a moving HMMWV......
Nothing to do but dance around in place to try to keep it moving until it cooled down.....
