Exec Admin and a funny situation

I was speaking with one of our Exec Admins today and we were discussing an issue related to another employee in another state and their asinine request.

She looked at me and said, no lie, "Sometimes I wish I had a loaded gun at work."

I just stood there and grinned . Now I know she was kidding out of frustration, but if she only knew she was 3 feet from a loaded firearm...

"Sometimes I wish I had a loaded gun at work."
Why would she phrase it that way? Any normal person would simply say "I wish I had a gun."

I think you've been made. She was testing your reaction.

I doubt it very seriously, but one never knows unless they come right out and say it.

    You should have said:

"Oh no, don't say that... even in jest. Some of the sheep around here might get nervous!" And then see where she took the conversation from there... LOL
