My fitness journal, here for the world to see
My new blog to go with my new life. Thoughts, goals, experiences, and all that stuff I'm embarrassed to talk about to people I know in person. This is my second trip down the road, and the first was quite successful until an injury and other excuses let me backslide. I've learned a lot from that experience, and I think sharing it will help me to remember a lot. After all, to teach something is a great way to learn it. Hopefully someone finds something useful or inspirational. I'm new at writing, so go easy on me.

WAY TO GO Cupcake!
I am sure you are aware of my own journey. I hope I might have been some small inspiration to you.
I am off to the gym myself in a few minutes. Just checking in before I go off and do my workout.
If we have never talked about fitness before, PM me and we can exchange some ideas.
Started out at 40-some % body fat and currently sit at a respectable 16.3% body fat. Still striving to make my goal of 12% body fat in the next 12 months!
I'll check back in around 2am when I am all done and relaxing before bed!

Thanks guys, and I'll try to post several times a week.
Mike, you have been much more than a small inspiration. I haven't seen an update in a while, but you served to remind me who I was many months ago. That has been brewing all winter and got me started working out at my 2nd job over the winter, until my first employer told me to study and get my First Class engineers' license or get a new job. Between two jobs, the heating and cooling business, and attempting to be a husband and father with what was left, it was difficult. I know, excuses, excuses. We'll, I've got my license, my first job gave me a raise, and the 2nd job is winter-only and I just might not go back this year. In any case, you've been looking over my shoulder since winter, whether you knew it or not. Thanks for the nudge. I'm off to bed, I get to work OT in the am. We'll definitely chat later, as much as I put into studying fitness (even getting certified as a personal trainer), it's a fair bit dusty in there.

Train while you're a 'young bull'...us older bulls just prefer to 'walk' down the hill...
For the 60's I'm in perfect shape...round is a perfect shape isn't it?

Now that's Funny! Ditto what sixto said.
But yes, I will do it. Immediate goal:250 by 1 NOV 2008 (thats 32 lbs). Then I'll add Jiu Jitsu and perhaps one other martial art to my workouts. I guess I should mention that somewhere in the blog...

It is a journey well worth it. Check out Men's Health - I find it inspirational, in a non-gym rat way, for new workouts diet and fitness tips.

I don't need to work out, I have the body of a god. Well Buddha is a god.
