Get Down With The Disco Duck

Take a nostalgia trip back to 1976 and get down with the Disco Duck.

    ...::: Disco Duck :::...

When you’re wounded and left on Afghanistan’s plains,
And the women come out to cut up what remains,
Just roll to your rifle and blow out your brains,
And go to your God like a soldier.

In the 90'S I had to explain what "disco" was to my kids because this song was on the radio.

Thank God I wasn't born until 1985, I don't know how all you old folks dealt with the 70's.

Cause kids these days ain't got no sense. I once asked a friend's dad how he dealt with all the stupid fashion trends of the 70's, his reply "The same way I deal with the ones today, t-shirts, work boots, and regular cut blue jeans."

Remember the tall shoes with the thick soles, I actually had some, they weren't that tall, I wish I still had them they'd be good for laughs today.

I was married in '75 and still have a suit from then, it has a bit of disco styling in it. Believe it or not I can actually still put the suit on though the stitches are straining. My kids got a big laugh over it.

Turn the election's in 2014 to a "2A Revolution". It will serve as a 1994 refresher not to "infringe" on our Second Amendment. We know who they are now.........SEND 'EM HOME. Our success in this will be proportional to how hard we work to make it happen.

1985??!! By then my oldest son was 14 and my youngest was 7!! Of course I had moved on in musical taste to "country", where I think I'll stay.
If I remember right 23 is still young enough to be sent to your room without dessert.

Oh come on man the 70s were the best times to be a teen!

    Bad Music???
Boston, Zeppelin, Kiss, Rush, Styx, Foghat, Foreigner etc.!

    Bad Cars???
(they were bad after the fuel embargo Thanks to Jimmy Carter)

Got my drivers license in 1973 and my first car was a 1969 AMX 390cid 4speed which dusted my buddies cars! They all tried with there Z28s Mustangs and Corvettes with no luck! The little two seater was fast off the line with its 4.10:1 rear gear and banging the Super T-10s gears with the factory Hurst shifter was a joy! I picked the AMX up for a grand and she was perfect inside and out! You could grab a fast muscle car for a song in the 70s! Now what do kids hot rod Honda Civics

    Bad clothes?
I still wear what I did back then Levi Jeans, Boots, T-Shirts, Polos etc.

    Bad movies?
(sure they didn't have all the special effects of today... big deal)
Jaws, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Rocky, Taxi Driver, Close Encounters, Billy Jack, Halloween, Animal House,Smokey and the Bandit, American Graffiti, The Godfather, Deliverance etc.

The 70s were the BEST times...

    Sorry you missed out!
