NRA membership
hello everyone. time to go public about my offer to
help out D.C. members wanting to get a life membership.
i received a couple messages from a couple members
who were interested in joining the nra.
i guess i offered my help before i checked my funds.
well, i talked to the bank (wife) and because we recently
returned from our vacation, right now the funds are
alittle to short to help out at the present time.
just wanted to let everyone know know as soon as i
found out. i aplogize for any inconvenience this may
have caused. ok let the beatings begin.

Last time they offered this option, the Lifetime member wasn't out any money up front. The Lifetime member shared his member number with the new guy by email or PM.
The new guy then called into the membership drive, informed them the membership number of the Lifetime member who was sponsoring him and the new guy arranged to make payment directly to the NRA.

Dang! You're not going to pony up the funds to get us all memberships.

Like I've stated before in other threads, (and I haven't been rebuked for it yet) this forum is a resource left untapped. I called it forum aid. All we'd need is a group treasurer, and a bank account for a non-profit organization. Someone willing to donate time (or for a small gratuity) to manage the account. Active members on the site = approximately 3000. Those who would want an NRA lifetime membership=? Those willing to send $1 to the fund and put 10 people in a position to get that lifetime membership=? Those willing to send $5 to the fund and put 50 people in the position to get that lifetime NRA=? Those willing to send $10 and put 100 people in the position of obtaining that lifetime NRA membership=? Again folks.......I just need help with the logistics of it all. I'd really like to see something like this happen...for the benefit of the members, and forwarding the cause for the NRA and the second amendment of which all of the preceding I believe in.

I saw a post about the membership drive and this one looks like it's for 1 relative and you have to fill out a buncha forms to send in unlike the last one where people just called in and got signed up
