Nice fish. What kind is it? We don't have any of those here in NY. Looks like a bass with some extra stripes and spot at the tail.
Peacock Bass. Fun fighters. They only do well in warm waters. If I am not mistaken they come from South America where you can find some monsters.

Are those bass are indigenous to florida? I thought they were a south america fish. I hope we're not messing up the eco-system with those puppies...

The introduction of the butterfly peacock in 1984 has been extremely successful in that it has had no known detrimental effects, and it has generated millions of hours of fishing pleasure for thousands of anglers who spend more than $8 million a year to catch this fish
