    You should edit the original post, doesn't really look like a porch, one of the first things I noticed which told me you were up to no good. Go with "at his job" or something like that, much more secret squirrelish.

    From the size, markings and aggressiveness I would guess it is a reticulated python. They can be like a cottonmouth very nasty temper, and they bite HARD.
