    The saga continues.

At the end of the day of day three I trek on over to the Nike employee store. I spoke with a salesman (about 24 yo) and he pointed me to the only pair of shoes that would fit me. One of the reasons I traditionally have not bought Nike shoes is that they are narrower than my feet and just don't fit. But they had one pair of shoes that was wider so I bought them. I also purchased some socks and a few other things. All prices in the store are about 1/2 retail.

Working at Nike is a trip. I have never worked at a company that had such happy people...generally. The energy is very high. It is a fun place to work. HOWEVER, because I am just a lowly contractor, they stuck me in the closet. I snagged a cubicle on day two, but I already had to give it up to a permanent employee.

I spoke with them about full time employment, but apparently being a contractor does not give you any advantage in the hiring process. Ugh.

...but you got some snazzy shoes at least, that should help you in the process.

Great to see your closet is large at least. Good luck to you over there.

I wonder if you could make a straw purchase for a set of Air Equalon+ 's

I wear out a pair every 8 or 9 weeks and at $130 a pop it's really cutting into my ammo money

J/K...you seem to be enjoying yourself and that's more than most of us can say about our daily grind.
