The Veyron has been many, many years in the making, stillbirth, and all that, but there it is. It subplanted the McLaren F1, a BMW powered car that held the title for 11 years.

3 points here...Why do you show these things...I'd get too many tickets...I lose my license...thus, no more driving...
1 if you can afford the car you can afford the tickets.
2 if you can afford the car who needs a license that is what your chauffeur is for.
3 at 250+ mph how would they be able to catch you? No chopper, light plane, or pursuit vehicle is capable of that kind of speed, they would have to call in the Marines and hit you with a sidewinder for a fast stop, or just wait until you ran out of fuel in the 12 minutes it takes to MT the tank at that speed.

True story... a number of years back Evil Knievel was doing some PR stuff in the area, and let the police know he was coming fast in his Jag "stop me if you can". They started to try and catch him in Jackson, but his speed was so high that every time they went to set up he was gone. The police did not manage to catch him until he stopped for fuel in Kalamazoo, yeah it was front page, you just can't buy that kind of PR.
