Wow, an expensive, slow, and clumsy 4-wheeler. Our tax dollars at work.
There are two sides to every issue: one side is right and the other is wrong, but the middle is always evil.

I think its very cool and I'm glad you posted it. I, for one, would love it if the govt would give me a few million dollars to play with robots.

I was just trying to think of a practical use for it that is not better served by a typical four wheeler.

Pretty cool toy... Throw a saddle on it and you're good to go! No water or hay and no need for a farrier! I wonder if I could sell them to the Amish in my town?

Impressive. Imagine what the models will be like in 10 years if they keep developing the idea. Noise won't be an issue with advanced batteries or fuel cells.

This after all is just a prototype. You can be sure when perfected it will be much quiteter and probably faster. For now it is a work in progress and a very impressive work at that!

Researching, developing and producing a product like this is not cheap and does not happen over night.

Very cool indeed. Even if there is no good use for this product, the technology being developed in this project could be used in numerous applications. Thanks for the post.

You miss the point. Did you see how it didn't fall over after being kicked in the side? Did you see HOW it kept from falling down?

Did you see how it righted itself on the ice patch? Notice the leg articulation and SPEED of the reaction and that the reaction was correct.

This "dog" has some amazing revolutionary development which some day could come in handy for prothesis replacement of human limbs or servomotor exoskeleton assist for quadrapelegics.

Not so dumb after all is it.
