Just takes one. The modern firearm is pretty easy to shot, and when SHTF, if it is at hand, people will use it in SD.

There are a few true pacifists, but on average, it is talk. I was at a CCW class with a former anti. She was attacked getting out of her car on her front lawn. She bought a huge gun (well, large for her size IMO) and was getting a CCW a week later. Frankly, she was a a bad shot (esp with the gun she had) and I questioned to myself, given her ability and mind set, if she should be armed. I think even the CCW instructor (LE day-job) had a concern. With a laser, got her on target, and repeated several times to the class (but you knew it was for her ears) the importance of owning the right firearm and the bigger did not mean better (but he also stressed stopping power). You were scared (this is no lie, it was nerve racking) to be in the same range as her, but it was hard to blame her for the reaction (and quick change of heart).

I have also noticed the more weath they (anti-gun) have, there is a likelyhood they are armed, and just don't want "other" people to be armed.

I would imagine if the SHTF the control activist would convert pretty quick, but they have no gun!

I said they would try to use reason and lay down their life, but I do think it depends on the activist. If they have money then I think they may have a bodyguard and would consider it their job. I mean, come on who needs to take personal responsibility fo their own life?

Thanis, wouldn't you be happier at Democratic Underground or some other 'liberal' forum?

As far as your poll, I would guess that most of your hardcore activists would give the criminal what they want and hope they live long enough to file an insurance claim.

    Screwy poll...

Still trying to figure Thanis out! Kind of strange polls. Not going to vote in them until they become reasonable.

I think the OP is trying to put this poll across as a variation to the old light-bulb jokes: "How many (whatever) does it take to change a light bulb. Remember those? That's what I think is going on.

And if you want to start a thread on that:

How many computer programmers does it take to change a light bulb?

    No.

You may not agree with what I may say, think, feel, etc. I assume this forum would allow other opinions. Otherwise why ask question, just so everyone can agree and everyone pats each other on the back?

There are a lot of CCW / Gun / Carry related items I find useful on this website. So I hope to continue to read other peoples insights.

I placed the poll in off topic / humor section.

I'll place more reasonable polls in a different section.
