Wink Why are fire engines red?

You should read this out loud, really, with a beat.

    Why are fire engines red?

Fire engines are red, books are read too,
Two plus two equals four, four times three is twelve,
Twelve inches makes a ruler, Queen Elizabeth is a ruler,
Queen Elizabeth is also a ship, ships sail the sea,
The sea has fish, the fish have fins,
The Fins fought the Russians, the Russians are red,
And fire engines are always rushin’

And THAT’s why fire engines are red!

    makes perfectly good sense...
I would rather stand against the cannons of the wicked than against the prayers of the righteous.

    Sounds like neoliberal logic.

Try speaking Spanish all day then coming home to try to read that!
The preceding post may contain sarcasm; it's just better that way. However, it is still intended with construction and with the Love of my L-rd Y'shua.

That brings back memories. This was in one of my books as a child. I know this by heart. When I read the title, before I even came in I said "because they're always rushin."

    Thank you!

Sirens make noise. Sirens are also nymphs of the sea.
    The seas have fish......
We will be much better off when we learn to deal with things as they really are, instead of how we wish them to be!

    No, its:

Fire engines have 4 wheels and 3 ladders, 4X3=12
12 is the number of inches in a ruler
Queen Elizabeth is the ruler of England
    England commands the Seas
There are fish in the Seas
    fish have fins
the Fins always beat the Russians

Yellow, white and Lime green have been used. I would not want to have to clean a white firetruck after a messy fire.
