Newlyweds killed by DUI

DALLAS (AP) -- A suspected drunken driver whose license is suspended has been charged today over a deadly wreck in Dallas County.

Officials say 22-year-old Uriel Perez Palacios of Dallas remains hospitalized in fair condition following the accident early yesterday.

His passenger is hospitalized in critical condition.

Police say Palacios is charged with two counts of murder and three counts of intoxication assault. Palacios has four previous DWI arrests.

Authorities say Palacios was driving erractically when the vehicle raced away from a deputy, ran a red light and ended up striking two SUVs.

Five SMU students in one vehicle were hurt, including one with a broken arm and two hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Two newlyweds in the other SUV were killed -- 24-year-old Erika Clouet and 23-year-old German Clouet of Irving.

Another good reason for a breathalizer test device in order to start the car! If you have prior DWI/DUI, this should be MANDATORY!

I'm assuming during the commission of a felony which i think after 3 or 4 is what it would be classified and attempting to feloniously flee and elude he committed a double homicide,put him to death he hasn't learned how to live in society

I too know my limit for alcohol. My problem is I always get drunk before I reach it!

Unfrortunately there are too many just like that. A fifth DWI or DUI as it is called here should be grounds for execution right after the fair trial.

As Gov. Palin answered what asked about capital punishment, "In certain cases, Hang 'em, Yep".
