Student killed after school
15-year-old stabbed in head with screwdriver dies Mon Sep 8, 10:55 PM ET
Milwaukee police say a 15-year-old girl has died three days after she was stabbed in the head with a screwdriver during an after-school fight.
Police say Liliana Razo died Monday at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.
Police Sgt. Mark Stanmeyer says investigators have a suspect in the case.
Authorities say two groups of people fought outside South Division High School on Friday. School security officials broke up the fight but the participants reconvened at a second location, where the stabbing occurred.

It's sad that somebody was killed but it sounds like they chose to continue a fight, you never know when somebody will escalate a fist fight and stab or shoot you
"Outside of the killings, Washington has one of the lowest crime rates in the country,"
--Mayor Marion Barry, Washington , DC .

Ban screwdrivers. /s
Girls aren't what they used to be. Doesn't say if she was stabbed by another girl or not. Too many unanswered questions.

What ever happened to the days of getting in a fight, taking your lumps and moving on? Most of the time the one you were fighting became some of your best friends or at least you had a mutual respect for each other.
I know when I was in H.S. we had our issues too, I grew up in a rough neighborhood and there were some people who just couldn't leave a fight where it ended.

Unfortunately to some...having a Police record is more important than attending school...

must be 21 and attend a 4 day
training course in safe handling.
and you thought the background
check was tough for your ccw.
though a class might not be a
bad idea for some. can't count
how many times iv'e seen people
carrying a screwdriver pointed
upward,pointed to the sides
pretty scary

I had a couple of fight in school too. A couple of those thugs or so I thought at the time became my friends. That wouldn't have happened if I had stabbed him with a screw driver.

That was back in the days when "honor" actually meant something.
Now it is just a word in the dictionary.
Life means nothing to many of these kids.
Very sad.

Actually, in that game Manhunt you can use a screwdriver to kill people pretty viciously.
Must be the video games
That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about a hundred and nine, ninety five. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart. You got that?

Not discounting video games' affects of de-sensitizing but there is also the parental factor missing I'm sure. I pulled a knife on a kid once in school, after having chased him for a few days until I found where he lived and broke in to his house to beat him up.
When the cops told my Dad and handed me over to him, I was wishing they would have arrested me! I just got to sit down form the pain on my butt about a month ago, and this happened almost 20 years ago.
My Dad didn't play around with punishment, nor did the Moms and Grandmas in my friends houses. I lived in a place (Pleasant Grove) and at a time that if you messed up Johnny's Grandma would spank you and then take you home by the ear and then Dad would tear in to ya too. Not enough of that going around anymore, outside of my house that is

Today's kids are desensitized to violence for a number of reasons. For many of them, their future is 12" in front of their faces. For some of them, trouble is just another merit badge in front of the bro's.
Spoiled, temper tantrums, immediate gratification, and regular old 'teen stupidity' makes for a dangerous situation.
This BG (guy or girl) will spend all of his/her youth in the big house.
Nasty story...and all probably over a boyfriend/girlfriend, or a bag of dope.

Senseless. Stupid and senseless. A lot of kids really have no respect for life any more.....it's just a thing. Terrible, tragic, and sad? Of course. How are we going to change these facts?
