Hopefully the new admin will be able to appoint '2 or 3 more'...just like him.

Why this election is so important. Justice Scalia is an intellectual, not a politician, and those who don't understand that, simply do not understand the Separation of Powers between the three branches of government. Were the Supreme Court to turn to trying to decide "what the people today want," it would acquire the same function as the legislature. His position on this very basic doctrine is clearly stated in this excellent interview. The next President will likely appoint multiple members to The Court for "Life"...which for a 45-50 year old could be a long time. As you cast your vote, please remember that had the Supreme Court this past term been of the "Living Document" persuasion, we could likely be about to be asked to turn in our guns. And, if we don't get it right in this election.....be prepared, because the legislative history of Sen. Obama on the Second Amendment are, bottom line, unequivocal. So, if this really matters to you, please be sure to get this point across to everyone you can before Election Day, or shall we say, Judgment Day.
