The Eighth Amendment says "cruel and unusual". Logically, it can be either, just not both. So since lethal injection is the usual method, it does not matter that it would be cruel in his case. Or we could go with a method that is not cruel, but unusual. Like a gas chamber using anesthetic gas or an overdose of sleeping pills washed down with booze. Or a high velocity (supersonic) rifle round through the skull from a distance such that he never hears the sound of the round going off.
Send him to Utah, they still have the firing squad.

show him mercy - blindfold him before you shoot him in the head.
I don't know why our society is so hung up on life and saving the unsavable. kill unborn babies but we have to gently usher mass murderers into the afterlife.

For some reason I suspect no state has ever used .45 to the head for sanctioned executions. If we do this, we need to do it right. Break out the Enfield's and line up the shooters.
odd. the only people i've encountered with ard to hit veins are quite skinney. normaly its easier to hit vein on a larger person because the vein is held in place by a few more layers of fat. oh well im not a medic im just the skinney guy that gets stuck 32 times at CLS class for my buddy to hit the vein once.

Every well-bred petty crook knows: the small concealable weapons always go to the far left of the place setting.
Dang, all I have is a .22, 9mm, or 12 gauge..."If it would make people happy, shoot me in the head with a .45," Cooey said.
