straight from al-anbar
The computer center is kinda empty, so I prolly won't get kicked off after my 30 minutes a day, so I figured I'd stop by and see how all my friends here on DC are doin.
I'm already about a quarter of the way done with my deployment here in sandy Al-Anbar province Iraq. Weather has finally gotten under 110 every day, which is nice especially with the 50 plus pounds of gear we have to patrol with daily. Other than that it is just the same ole stuff everyday. Time is kinda like boot camp here, the days seem to go slow but its hard to believe I've been here for almost 2 months already.
Contrary to what you read in the media we really are winning this war, you can see it on a daily basis here. You can also see how vital American forces are here, and how most Iraqis are afraid of what will happen when we do leave.
That's about it I guess, just thought I'd pop back in and say hi.
