A married couple who are friends of mine used to live next to a family that kept their house like this. When the people finally moved out, there was dog and cat feces all over the place. Totally infested with all manners of bugs and rodents, trash everywhere, and this was only in the front room. I couldn't get past that room because I just couldn't get past the smell.

I can't imagine how people live like this. Also, I can't imagine how that house in the pictures didn't already burn down because of all the cigarette butts.

This place could be a good tax write off. Donate it to the local FD and they can burn it down when they have a live practice drill.

Yeah, that's what we politely refer to as "heavy fire load." They make good parking lots after the fact. But hey, they had a fire extinguisher on the coffee table!

Sadly, now I have a Whataburger craving.

Do the Dave Ramsey thing. Pull out your wallet and start counting out $100 bills while asking "How much do you need for a deposit?" He jokes now that since he quit using credit and his score went to 0, he can't rent an apartment. He could pay cash for the whole complex, but they won't rent him a place.

I've seen places like this, this place is far from the worst I've seen. I can almost promise that there is one like it in almost every neighborhood. Slobs are slobs rich, poor young and old. (but it is more likely to be in poor neighborhoods)

I think its most likely to happen from renters rather than owners because it isn't their house

i've seen HUD and forclosed homes that looked like that because the people were bitter about losing the house

Yeah, that is true, although it isnt a absolute hard rule. I was just at what should have been a very nice home yesterday at work. It wasnt at the level of the pictures posted here, but it was still a total dump. Both people were professional people... but total slobs.

Very disgusting. For some morbid reason, I would love to see a photo of the tenants.

This thread has just inspired me to go clean out my garage (it's nowhere near that bad, yet). I'll be back in a few hours.

    Peace,

Too funny! A link to the other forums I visit.

I've seen my share of nasty living conditions; not as bad as this, but close.

There has got to be mental illness involved there.

Obviously mental illness had a play in this one. Only a sick person could live in that environment. I almost feel sorry for the person willing to live in that.
