Getting old isn't good for you!
I used to be the Network Admin for the Dallas Cowboys (I left in 2000), so I have met a few people there. I also got to welcome Coach Campo to his new office from down the hall. I used to have a pic of me on Jerry Jones' (Sr. that is) couch in his office in front of all the Lombardi trophies, that was cool.
Also got to spend some time in the cheer leading office, what fun that was.
While at the Cowboys I was in a Bible study for the coaches, players had a separate one if they wish, and Pat Summerall was also in there, real neat guy and great stories from when he played (way back then).
A little trivia for ya, Jim Jeffcoat is a huge spaghetti western fan, and he is also just huge.
I've met Ruth Ray and June Hunt, of the Hunt oil family, been in June's house when I was a kid, who also lived across the street from Roger Staubach at the time.

Preaident Clinton in the early 90's on his first trip to Brussels--I got to shake his hand (bring on the jokes!). My MP Squad was chosen to augment the Secret Service where he spoke. *They wouldn't let us carry guns--we had to dress up in suits just to look like the rest of the Secret Service guys!
Same afternoon I met Ted Coppel. Then CNN's Jill Gerrity (sp?) hit on me after the event!
I met a prominent Detroit Lions Football Player. He went psycho and beat hi girlfriend. We took him to the looney bin, with the help of 4 police officers. Can't use name for legal reasons.

Guess the closest I can come to someone famous would be.
Alan Page member of the Minnesota Vikings (for the old timers part of the purple people eaters) when he went to Notre Dame
J.C.Watts when he ran for congress the first time. He came into my archery shop while campaigning.
As a side note he was the first black elected congressman from a sothern state in 120 years, and as a republican refused to join the congressional black caucus.
I still like this quote from him:
Watts is responsible for a spectacular sound byte:
"...they [ Jesse Jackson, et al.] said that I had sold out and Uncle Tom. And I said well, they deserve to have that view. But I have my thoughts. And I think they're race-hustling poverty pimps." On Hannity and Colmes.

I've done protection for some big names... Colin Powell, Condi. Met W. on one trip, stood about 6 feet in front of him during a move. Done a number of CODELs, so I've met a large number of members of Congress. Met a lot of Cabinet Secretaries, the FBI Director, the Director of Central Intelligence, the Vice-Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and more 4-stars than you can shake a stick at.
Celebs I've run into include James Earl Jones, Sebastian Bach, Henry Rollins, and a good number of musicians that I've met after concerts. I'm sure I'm forgetting a bunch, but I'm on my way out the door...
Yes, I was armed for all of my meets with politicians...if I hadn't been, my bosses would have been a bit upset...lol
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.
He has very big, fat, soft, dry hands. Not sticky at all. :D
