EDIT: Sorry, this is wendywc using the hubby's laptop.
Many years ago when I was just a kid, while on a trip to California, my parents forbade me from buying an autograph book, because I would never need it. A few years later, I was in Belen, New Mexico watching a movie called Bunny O'Hare being filmed. Between takes I sat on a bench in front of an old hotel and was soon joined by a costumed man and woman. The man said hello to me as he pulled off his fake beard and she removed her hat. It was then that I recognized Ernest Borgnine and Bette Davis.
A few years later at my home in Los Lunas, New Mexico, I was outside working on my car when I noticed a tractor trailer rig preceeded by a flatbed truck with a camera, coming down my street. It pulled over in fron of my house and several people climbed off each vehicle. I walked up to them and was stunned to recognize Kris Kristofferson, Ali McGraw and director Sam Peckinpah. Apparently they were filming the movie Convoy.
A couple of years after that, I was at the Coronado theater in Albuquerque, New
Mexico and had to go use the facilities. As I took care of business I noticed a bearded man standing to my left, doing his thing. He nodded at me and walked out a back door. When I returned to the lobby there was a small crowd standing just outside the bathroom door. One of them yelled at me, "did he say anything to you"? "Who"? I asked. He replied "Kenny Rodgers".
In 1991 I was hired to drive a hearse during the filming of the movie Project Eliminator, where I got to meet David Carradine.
Lastly, in January of 2006 I was in the Coronado shopping center, in Albuquerque where The Flock was being filmed. There was an immense crowd being held back during the filming. Between takes the crowd was let through to go to the west end of the mall, and I was walking over all the cables strung out along the floor I bumped into a man reading from some papers. I glanced over at him
and said "sorry". He looked up at me, smiled, and said "no problem". I then realized he was Richard Gere.
I sure wish I had gotten that autograph book!

I met Siriwanwaree Nareeratana. (I bet that throws you.)
Bob Dole when he first ran for congress.
Shirley Bassey (Singer noted for a James Bond movie.) I sat next to her in a bar in Australia.
Paul Hogan (Crocodile Dundee) In a hotel gift shop in Australia.
Rip Torn on an airplane.
A former Miss Thailand in the Miss Universe contest.
Mrs. Lynch, (Wife of the Lynch in Merrill, Lynch, Fenner and Dean.) Only on the telephone. She wanted to do some philanthropy work in Thailand. We had numerous conversations. I even had her private personal phone number.
The Minster of Labor, and the Minister of Science and Industry, both of Thailand.
Also in Thailand on the same occasion I met the U.S. Legal Attache and the Cultural Attache of the U.S. Embassy. Don't know if they are considered celebrities.
Siriwanwaree Nareeratana is the Princess of Thailand
Former Canadian Prime Ministers Pierre Trudeau and Jean Chretien.
James Garner, John Lithgow, Margot Kidder and Stuart Margolin on the set of the movie The Glitter Dome (I was an extra). Jim Garner is very much like his Jim Rockford character. He even made a special visit to the extras shivering off the set just to boost morale. And finally Wayne Lapierre at an NRA convention. I gave him a Canadian perspective on firearms issues.![]()

2, sort of.
In 1999 at Team Idaho national prep camp for wrestling, I cut in line in front of someone at lunch, not noticing, the guy in front of me asked 'Do you know who's behind you?' being exhausted I said I didn't have the first clue, and he said 'thats BATMAN'
So yea, I was a dummy and shoved in front of Doc Holliday, I turned round, and there stood Val Kilmer.
And the other one my anot be a celebrity, but do any of you know who this is?

Back in 78 I worked security at the Emmy awards back stage I got to meet alot of stars: The original Charley's Angels: Kate, Jaquelin, and Farrah. I met Betty White, funny lady. Don Rickles kept telling me jokes and trying to get me to drink with him. I met so many that I can't remember most. After the show I walked Angie Dickinson to her car and she gave me a peck on the cheek. good memories.
