How could I forget these, President Gerald R. Ford and West German Foreign Minister Hans Dietrich Genscher when I was in the army in Germany 1976.
Vice President Dick Cheney, US Senator Pete Dominici and US Rep. Heather Wilson in Los Lunas, NM on Nov. 6, 2004.
Former UN ambassador, former US Secretary of the Interior, former US Representative and current Governor of New Mexico, Bill Richardson outside a gun show in Albuquerque.

Grandpa Jones. Signing autographs after a performance at a bluegrass festival at a rural campground.
Charlie Daniels. Backstage EMS. Didn't get to talk to him though, his security said he did not like being disturbed before a concert. Bad luck, had to haul out a drunk before the concert ended.
Arlo Guthrie. After finishing a concert in Virginia Beach, came over to the short order restaurant where I was working security for a late meal.

My wife and I were invited to attend the Commander-in-Chief's inaugural ball for G.W. Bush's second term---now that I say that, it was in 2005 (not 2004)--it was only open to veterans of OIF & OEF. I was not carrying, as this was an "official" event and was held in D.C.

While I've seen several famous people, I actually met and had a conversation with Pope John Paul II back in 1990. Very friendly and nice. A very sweet man. He is one person that after meeting I would actually call "Godly".

Worked security at The Grand Old Opry back in 1999, and met just about every country star you could think of.
I suggest that if you can find in your inner self the will to inflict violence on someone who is trying to victimize you, and can back up that iron will with all the force that you can muster, you will most likely be successful.

In the late 70's I was checking out of the Hyatt Regency at Embarcadero Center. Is I finished, I noticed the guy checking in next to me- It was George Carlin.

I went out with Cyndi Wood (Playboy Playmate of the Month in 1973 and Playmate of the Year, 1974) a couple of times before she was photographed by Playboy.

When I worked at DFW Airport I met Waylon Jennings, Jessi Colter and Willie Nelson once when they passed through. I met Willie a couple of other times years later when I lived in Evergreen, Colorado and he lived just up the road. He would just show up at The Little Bear to play and hang out.

John Larroquette - while snowed in at the Sun Valley, Idaho airport. We wound up spending a couple of hours talking. It was funny because although I knew who he was (the D.A. on Night Court), I didn't know his name until he introduced himself. Pretty down to earth guy.
