Silver bullets & the king of funny cars

In the mid 70's, I delivered a new boat to Clayton Moore aka "THE LONE RANGER". He carried a pocket full of SILVER BULLET key chains for the ladies. A true gentleman.

In 2000, I delivered a new ChrisCraft to John Force. The NHRA funny car champion is a pleasant, down to earth guy.
The situation will NEVER BE THE WAY YOU WANT, it WILL BE THE WAY IT IS. You must be FLEXIBLE ENOUGH TO ADAPT and just "DEAL WITH IT".

I have worked in Television Broadcasting for 15 years now, and you get to meet a lot of people who are considered famous. Here is a list of the ones I can remember right now.

    Mark Harmon
    Gene Hackman
Dennis Hopper (Hackman and Hopper were the stars of a movie I was in called "Hoosiers")
Steven Segal (I was an extra in "Under Siege")
Al Pacino (I was an extra in "The Insider" and actually got to talk to him for about 10 minutes. He is a very nice guy as far as I could tell too.)
    Tom Brokaw
Dan Rather - he's nuts by the way
Shapard Smith - He is a really down to Earth nice guy. Met him again Yesterday.
Carl Rove - Another really nice guy
    Gene Simmons
Admiral Jeremiah Denton - a true American Hero
    Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf
And while I was in the Navy, one President, George H.W. Bush.

I work for a university so we have alot of people coming in for shows and what not. I have met Dante Ridgeway from the New York Jets, Blaine Bishop from the Tennessee Titans, Bonzi Wells from the New Orleans Hornets, David Letterman from The Late Show with David Letterman. At B.B. Kings concert he came off stage for a break and handed me Lucille (his guitar) tho I only got to hold it for a short time before they came up and took it from me. I went to high school with J.D. Closser a catcher for the Colorado Rockies.

Well I was just informed by my parents that when I was little I met the cast of the Dukes of Hazzard and a Local Tv personality named Sammy Terry.

All I'll say is that out of all the "celebrities" I've met Sam Donaldson sticks out as the worst. You couldn't pay me to meet him again.

I like that. Met him when I was 23.
Also had 30 minutes with Simon and Garfunkle, uninterrupted for 30 minutes, two on one. Long story.
Johnny Carson sat across from a table where I was eating in NYC. I was a boot private. He saw me ogling him and buried his head in his food.
    Couple authors, fairly famous.
Tended bar with Jim Clack who was Terry Bradshaw's center along with Webb.
I'm also friends with Martha McSally.

My favorite famous person I have met is Adrian Cronauer (GOOOOOOOOOD Morning Vietnam). He is a great guy and we enjoy exchanging jokes. He will tell you that if he had done half the things in the movie he would still be in the brig. He is quite an accomplished guy.
