Remember to relax when you fall. Eat pineapple.
The preceding post may contain sarcasm; it's just better that way. However, it is still intended with construction and with the Love of my L-rd Y'shua.

BJJ is a great fighting form, not only does it work to control people and as someone else stated present a fighting form most people do not understand, it takes what natural instinct is and uses it against the other guy.
The only problem is it works for great for 1 on 1 fights, and it gives a chance to anyone watching to step in and put a boot in your neck.
Krav "TO ME" is the best of the "self defense" martial arts, it takes the idea that the best way to end a fight is fast. The longer you are engaged in a confrontation the more chances for the other person to score a lucky punch, pull a weapon or have friends show up. So the idea is to end the fight in less than 10 seconds, Krav goes for quick simple and brutal fight finishes.
So my suggestion is if you go for a second art find a good Krav Maga school.
That being said I train Muay Thai ;)

Modern Arnis, combines elements of small circle ju jitsu with striking/blocking techniques and grappling/ground fighting. It too goes for the quick and brutal approach. See the movie Borne Identity and similar. There are a couple of good fight scenes where speed of execution is demonstrated.

Downside, it isn't a quick learn.

OK. Back from the first class. Actually, the first 2 classes.

First was an hour of BJJ, then an hour and a 1/2 of combat submission wrestling which was kinda like no-gi jiu jitsu, but instead being the beginner noob class, there was more advanced stuff going on. Kinda like reading ahead in a book...very cool.

Oh yeah....OWWWWW. Excuse me while I look for some ibuprofen.

Go in with your ears open. Try not to go too hard. Listen, and pay damn good attention. Keep your hips moving.
    Keep your powder dry
