So I'm sitting at the light and up comes this fairly large scooter next to me. I take a quick look and then a double take. Wha? It had two front wheels! Anyone ever hear of this? A first for me.

It's a Piaggio. Been around for a while. It leans in the turns (the front wheels are on a parallelogram type suspension) but at low speed it locks up so you don't need to put your feet down at a light. They get great reviews and with gas at $3.50 here, 70 mpg ain't so bad. Scooters are cool again.
The one from NY carry is a Can-Am, and it's more of a motorcycle. Unfortunately underpowered and doesn't lean, leading to some interesting cornering.
A trike is a trike. I am sure they are more stable then the ones with the wheels in the back, But I still prefer the old fashion 2 wheeler or the newer quads.
Now if they would just make a quad with a double wide wheel base with the seat low down and a steering wheel, OH wait they do, its called a Lamborgini, I want one.
This is technically a trike, with a "tadpole", "taildragger" or "2F1R" (two front, one rear) configuration. They're WAY more stable than the traditional "delta" or "1F2R" style. Look up Vortex and Aptera for some other fun treatments.
Yeah, it's for people that would like a motorcycle except for that they have no balance.
In some states you need a special license endorsement to operate a motorcycle but you don't need one to operate a trike. By putting a 3d wheel on a motorcycle, you eliminate the special license application & test etc.
