I knew things were getting bad, but dang. I just went to Wally World and got carded to buy a folding camp shovel. Well, I didn't actually get carded, but when the cashier scanned it, it popped up the question "Is customer over 18?" I asked the cashier about it and she said that anything that can be used as a weapon, you have to be old enough to buy it. I guess it was a good thing I wasn't buying a pack of pencils or something, they would probably have to do a background check first. This stuff is really getting stupid.
It's a "we're covering our caboose" thing for them. Not sure if it's an insurence or law to do that......maybe both.
Wally World gotten so big they have to get "politicaly correct". I'm 'sure' carding you for a shovel was the proper, lawful, and "politicaly correct" thing to do.

And they are on board with Bloomberg and his band of Mayors. My wal-mart wont sell me ammo if it's for a pistol but yet they sell 45ACP, 40SW and 9mm. I just tell them it's for a rifle....they have no idea what the difference is. But I never see the need to buy my handgun practice ammo from them anyway. Support your local FFL dealer.

Eventually Walmart will have a decision to make. If they make it so restrictive and intrusive to by ammo, etc. their sales of those items would likely fall considerably. The decision they will have to make then is do they want to sell the stuff or not. Looking at the size of the stores anymore, I would have to think that their political gain from these actions would far outweigh any profit loss from a few ammo sales.
