This type of stuff upsets me everytime I hear about it.

I would make a point about the spiked fences, royal guard carrying weapons and such protecting the crown jewels. And ask, why can those be protected by things that can possibly hurt a thief, but I can't protect my damn gardening tools?

Now there's an idea. Bury some claymores nearby attached to the vine, just remember which one you can pick and which to leave alone and one could have a good old time!

I am getting close to not feeling sorry for the Brits myself, but then I think we may not be too far behind over on this side of the pond.

I hope you are jesting about sneeking weapons into Britain. To say say would take a dim view of such attempt would be an understatement.

I wouldn't advise violating British gun laws. If you can't live without your guns you had better stay out of the UK.

Just one in a line of several other post-worthy incidents on our board regarding life across the pond.

So much for the Great in Great Britain. Might as well call them French.

The UK is going to hell in a handbasket. Mother England, a once-great colonial empire has become nothing but a husk of its former greatness. There was a time in history when the sun never set on the crown. Now the sun never seems to rise. sad.

I will never vacate the old dominion. I was just musing on how my wife and I could replicate the Norman invasion of William of Normandy with no help from vasal lords because the British have turned into a bunch of commie bed-wetters and general pantywaists.-Jay

Yeah...I missed it the first time I read it due to my own temporary denseness.

I'm a big believer in barbed wire. I put rolls of it at the base of my wooden fence. It does two things. Keeps the dogs from messing with trying to dig (I also put an electric wire forward of the barbed to keep them from tangling with it), and anyone jumping the fence will regret the move. Liability? Sure. But if you jump my 6 foot locked fence you can't be up to any good.
And, that's why G-d invented Home Owner's Insurance and umbrella policies.
