Gun dealer I trade with in NWA
Gun dealer I trade with in NWA
the first one is quite funny...but it will probably get shut down.
I Love It !!!
Well...mods have been pretty anti politics/religion, which is fine. My thoughts were pre-election, not post.
I go there once every two weeks actually. One of my two favorite gun shops! Has been for about seven years now. Makes working in Springdale and driving from Alma a bit more worth while.
Great signs...:hand10:...hope people read and heed.:icon_neutral:
The gun store that I go to (oddly enough it's named "The Gun Store"), has a sign out front that says "If you're voting for Obama, put your guns HERE", with an arrow pointing to a trash can.
That was great... I literally laughed out loud.
Yep, I was there yesterday buying some ammo and drooling. LOL.
It's the nicest gun store around with really nice folks to talk with.
Say! Maybe we could get them to throw us a coffee party and meet sometime! I usually cruise through there on my work Saturdays around 6:30 pm after I get off work. Since Fridays are payday, that's when I usually go. If you guys have been going there for over a year...... I really miss my main man Rick. He quit this past summer after all those years. I'm still not sure why, and Bill won't talk about it. But Rick was the main reason I bought so much from them in the past. I still do every couple weeks, but Rick was always welcoming me, and on top of things. These new guys they have working there are okay, but they just aren't as customer oriented as the days gone by. Bill used to be out on the floor at the show cases...now he's in the back office. His wife checked me out on my purchases this last time, and I hope they keep staying open until 7pm for sure! Well, enough of that down home, favorite gun shop talk.........one of these days, I'd like to meet you guys. Knowing we have a common interest in our favorite gun shop is cool though.
I'm game (enough of the jokes, don't shoot, okay?)..all I need is a heads up as I am WAY out here in Madison Co and it's an hour drive in for me..here lately I have been "trying" to stay out of the Gun Store..call it "working on preserving the marriage" as SHE laid the law down last time I was in there. Quote: NO MORE GUNS! so I have been trying to be a good boy..a meet-n-greet coffee sippin sounds good to me!
Hey that sounds like fun! I know I miss Rick also. It was fun to talk to him. They have a couple of new guys working in there Thursday when I was in there that I haven't seen before. Steve is usually waiting on me or even Bill has a time or two also.
You may never know that we have probably already met and never even knew that we were on the same fourm. I've done that before. lol.
Mtdew is better than coffee. *Grin*
Ditto on the hour's drive DrLewall. That's what it takes me to get to work actually. I do 5:30 am to 6:10 pm for my schedule, and work every other weekend (like this weekend, Fri-Sun). It's a stone's through from my work, down Randall Wobbe lane to 71B and down the hill to the gun shop. For me, Saturdays would be the best at or around 6:30pm. Nobody need go out of their way. Matter of fact, I'd prefer you all to make the call on this, and it's just a possibility...If we don't meet, or our schedules don't work out until sometime in 2009, there's nothing lost. Know what I'm saying? But I do think a GTG (get-together) would be cool from a forum standpoint. As far as Bill having coffee ready for us, I don't know what I could work out there. They do have that big round table loaded with periodical gun magazines and all, but since I've posted, and you've posted....I got to thinking. AQ Chicken House is just up the hill, and from what I remember (from living in Springdale for 20 years)....Saturday nights are all you can eat rib night....! Then we wouldn't have to worry about Bill's closing at 7pm...or we could meet there first in case of a must do ammo buy or something, and go from there. Show up during those times around 6:30 pm, and just PM'ing each other that we'd be there on a certain day, and just walking in to see if any of us are able to recognize each other just based on what we think we know. The shop can be rather busy on Saturday evenings. We could work this out sooner or later, and post some pics here on the forum. I'd suggest each of us put each other in our friends list here to make contact easier. I'll send an invite for both of you this evening.
P.S. I've also listed this thread in my subscriptions just in case.
