This thread is beginning to smell slightly like the country I am in though... Really, the browns?
We black and gold fans do owe a debt of gratitude to the State of Ohio. Four wins a year and the best QB in the universe...Big Ben . So for that I say thank you Ohio!
It is surely true that you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink. Nor can you make them grateful for your efforts.

Flaming might be allowed in a football thread.

Flaming as in harsh language, or flaming like what the Browns did to the Giants?

As a die-hard Giants fan, I hate this thread. Almost as much as I hated that game.

As a die hard Browns fan. I feel your pain...... A lot... I've never had a champioship team, baseball or football, in my lifetime. (the '64 Browns don't count. I was only 2 years old)

Oh come on now... 95 and 97 the Indians took the AL, and won division in all the years surrounding that. Those were good times; I got to go to all of those series games.

The Browns had some good times too,
    1968, 1969, 1986, 1987, 1989 were all NFL/AFC championship games.

    They were division champions 18 times;
    1950, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1954, 1955, 1957, 1964, 1965, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1971, 1980, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1989

They were in the playoffs 11 times since 1970, the 80's Browns were pretty good. I remember watching them all the time.

I don't give a hoot about basketball, but I know the Cavs had some good times too.

The football team moves to Baltimore.

    The fumble

    The drive.

Any Browns fan knows exactly what these things mean...

Yes Sixto, we've come close may times but never made it to the top........ You have brought up many great moments in Cleveland sports. I have been there since I was a boy, good times and bad. But just once I wish they would go all the way.
I'm not a Cavs fan either, but my dad was. And some of my best childhood memories were sitting in the basement with him, watching him tie flies and make homemade lures for next spring while listening to "The miracle at Richfield" on the radio.

Ahh the old Richfield Coliseum... the old concrete monster sitting off 271. Been there many times... didn’t it always seem like it was about 10-15 degrees colder inside than it was outside?

I havent been up there in many years, didnt they tear it down? Whats there now?
