It's hard to imagine that the camera guy watched this happen...must have been a brother-in-law...

    Reported Post by JD

    JD has reported a post.

    Reason:
I'm sending a PM to EMP to drop the attitude regarding his removed thread.

My son turned 18 this year. He registered to vote. In Oregon, all elections are done by mail in ballot. I received my ballot, but he has not received his.

I asked him who he was going to vote for. He said in a typical teenager style, "I dunno". I then showed him the latest issue of American Rifleman magazine that has the gun positions of every candidate he could vote for. He read through it and said, "Gosh, if I want to keep my guns, the choice is clear."

Unlike some voters who are going to vote for someone without knowing any of their positions (see my previously deleted post...no wait, you can't) at least he knows why he is voting.
    I added the bold emphasis.

    Steve,

You may want to rethink how your posts come across re: removed posts:

Unlike some voters who are going to vote for someone without knowing any of their positions (see my previously deleted post...no wait, you can't) at least he knows why he is voting.
You know our policy re: political threads that are non 2A related, it should come as no surprise that your thread was removed.

Your above quoted portion seems like a bit of a snotty jab at the staff for removing a post that was in direct violation of our policy regarding political threads.

If you have any questions regarding our stance on non-2A related politics you can read our policy here:http://www.defensivecarry.com/vbulle...l-threads.html

If you want to discuss it with the staff that's fine, but we frown on members airing grievances in the open forum, you may want to read over http://www.defensivecarry.com/vbulle...ourtesies.html

    Which specifically states:
And, finally, a very important point, if you have any grievances with the actions of the staff, it is best handled privately rather than open forum. A simple PM is usually all it takes, as answering questions and concerns regarding the forum is part of our job. I would ask you to remember that our staff are all volunteers and spend hundreds of hours "on the job" here every week. Civility and respect, the trademark of this forum, is expected in communications with our staff, just as it is with our other members. Getting an attitude in communications with staff either privately or in open forum will rarely get your concern addressed satisfactorily and will often jeopardize your membership.
If you have a genuine complaint that you want to take up with us that's fine, but just do so in the appropriate manner.

We don't want to see anyone loose their account here over political BS, but it has happened.

Just a friendly heads up on how the quoted post reads, I don't know if that is your intent or not, but that's how it comes across. I am editing the portion of your latest thread regarding the removal of your thread that was removed.

    Regards,

    JD

He really shouldn't worry because I'm certain that he has a few hundred more totally stupid threads all lined up in a row ready to put on the forum.

What if you drop a cartridge on the carpet? Is it still OK?

How do you get cat fur off a Nylon holster?

I sneezed 5 times in a row when I was cleaning my gun.
Could I be allergic to Break Free?

I got a really bad blister on my hand the last time I was shooting.
What brand of BandAids do you all use?
Please only choose one brand in my poll.

A friend of mine is totally blind. I want to take him shooting.
Does he still need to wear eye protection and WHY?

Actually, I doubt it would be cleaning his guns that would give him a blister....

I would dare say that it didn't end well for the man being shot.
