I thought I'd make my debut here at defensive carry a humorous one, as also indicated by my handle. Anyway, aside from babying your guns who also names them? You know who you are.

The three I carry the most are named Brown, Colt, and Kimber. The ugly black plastic stepchild has no name, and is only brought out in public in certain situations.

"But if they don't exist, how can a man see them?"
"You may think I'm pompous, but actually I'm pedantic... let me explain the difference."
"Carry the battle to them. Don't let them bring it to you. Put them on the defensive and don't ever apologize for anything."
I thought about naming mine, but then decided I had too many to keep track of all their names!

I would name mine if that Dr. in Arkansas would give me birth certificates for them...
I could use the write off.
No, but I have a dog named "Kimber".

My girlfriend and I were discussing baby names for the future. I liked the name Sylvia but she hated it. So as a joke I named my AK-47 Sylvia. When I got my Kimber I sold the AK for it. So i named the Kimber Sylvia. It evolved into whatever gun is my current carry is just named Sylvia. (Like how whatever plane the President is on is Air Force One.)
Its a good way for her to ask me if I'm carrying or to tell me that somethings wrong. She just references our daughter "Sylvia".

There is Pee Wee, Betty, Hazel (mean one) , and Bertha.... I think they are self explanatory. Then there is FRANK..... "frankly.. the one they don't want to meet".
My daughter, in a store asked me...... "You didn't bring Bertha with you today did you ? " (lots of people around). I answered " nah, I didn't feel like bringing her". People are starting to listen..... so I had to say "Bertha is too damn big to take out into publilc some times". My daughter answers, " well, she's better than that skinny one you like so much " . LMAO at the looks on people's faces... my daughter laughing her head off.
Just my 'little friend'...want to say "Hello?"...![]()
"That I cannot do."
"Give this to, uh, Clemenza. I want reliable people, people who aren't going to be carried away. After all we're not murderers in spite of what this undertaker thinks."

My Springfield is called Jerri. I gave it a name so I could talk about it to specific folks in the presence of others. And at least I thought "Jerri Springfield" is a bit humorous.
I had a NAA LR revolver that I refered to as Tito. But my dad lost, yes literally lost, Tito.
The preceding post may contain sarcasm; it's just better that way. However, it is still intended with construction and with the Love of my L-rd Y'shua.

No names for the firearms, but I did name my Rottweiller "CC".
