    The cost of hotdogs

I was at a local gas station yesterday, filling up. It is one of those stations with the god awful speakers that spout commercials at you while you pay exorbitant prices for a gallon of gas. I was trying my best to ignore the annoying thing when one of the adds caught my ear. "try our super sized hotdogs for only $2.39". Then it hit me. Gas had recently dropped to $2.36 a gallon. What is the world coming to when a hotdog costs more than a gallon of regular gas.

LOL... you got bite twice for that one. Use that silence button on the pump next time.

I hate those stupid things! I used to always buy Marathon gas, I won't now because of them... but I still have no choice when filling up my work car. I hit the mute button first thing everytime both at the pump or if I go to the register.

I wouldn't eat a gas station hot dog it were free, so I really don't care what the charge for it!

Do you see who is touching them?
Do you know where some of those 'dogs' have been?
Do you know how many times some of those dogs have been held over another day or two and reheated?

No talking gas pumps here is AZ either. Guess we're just behind the times. We do have those sneezed-on weenies here though, but they only cost 99 cents.

The dumb mute button on my pump wouldn't work, so I was stuck with listening. I also don't purchase their food, For me, it's a matter of principal. I refuse to spend money at a place I feel is already ripping me off with the inflated prices of their gas, and the record "profits" being reported by the oil companies. I have to buy the gas, but the rest of the stuff can rot for all I care.

Well, it could be a 'loaded' hot dog....I mean with everything.....chili, mustard, onions, cheese, and a four day old dry bun. Some hot dogs are worth $2.39. Me? I'd rather go to Sonic or Rally's and get one and a half for that price!

If I ever try to build up my tolerance to bacteria I'll go there first.

I don't eat hot dogs, BUT at a Speedway gas station one time when I was starving and nothing else around was open, I bought a hamburger that was shaped like a hot dog. It even had cheese in the center of it. It was the greatest thing I had ever eaten. I had another a couple weeks later and it didn't taste as good as I remembered. Yes It was a made of some hamburger type meat and shaped like a hot dog on a hot dog bun.
