Focusing on how to prepare for the worst-case scenario.

Turning off the news when I get sick of hearing bad news.

Changing the channel when a certain politician starts to lie, uh, I mean to speak.

Mentally preparing to live in some dark times, but hoping I am wrong.

    Planning my next gun(s) purchase.

Being so busy at work I don't have time to think about what may be coming.

Realizing that tough times have been here before, and people survived them then.

That's how I am dealing with it.

How do I relax? I don't. Not just yet. Although my stress level decreases the more prepared I get.

I hope I'm wrong about what may be ahead. But if I'm not wrong, well, it was time to get prepared anyway.

Dang it, should've started preparing decades ago. I guess being late to the party is better than not coming at all.

What are you doing to keep up beat and sane with all this bad news coming out?
Bad news is nothing really new to me. Up beat? I'm a Sagittarius for beginners....LOL! Besides that, stay busy, work, got a lot of ongoing projects/ideas. Fixing to start my yearly reloading sessions. Working to pay off that Remington 870 ASAP. Coming to this forum, and going to the range. All relatively available and easy ways for me to stay away from the guys in white suits. While we can see some signs, we cannot predict the future. None of us can. Above all, live for today. Once the future becomes present, it's already past.

I ride a mountain bike, for so many miles that it burns all the negative energy out of my body.

Im telling you, when you crush hills, and your muscles burn, with the open forest around you down a mountainbike trail, with nothing but nature and calmness around you, it really helps mello you out.

I would recommend it for everyone. At least go walking :)

Building a nice fire in my fire pit, sipping some nice apple cider with a little extra kick added and looking up at the clear sky... I'm going to go do just that here in a few minutes.

The only comfort I'm finding in anything right now is knowing that within days (literally) I'm going to be holding our son. All else just kind of fades in comparison.
I don't think the list was about "happy", it's about staying sane.

Sorry to add to your pain JD.
