I had a thread I was going to post, but after reading some of these posts about Election Day aftermath, When to Deploy a Rifle, Obama taking away all of our firearm rights, world plunging into economic turmoil and a general SHTF scenario, I just didn't think it was relevant.
What are you doing to keep up beat and sane with all this bad news coming out?
I just brought home another gun. :image035:
That always makes me happy.
Other things that make me happy:
A fresh hair cut.
My cats acting like goofs
Banning Spammers
Reading actual books
All of the above keep me sane. :yup:

My life is already insane with 4 kids and a Wife that works part time in the evening everyother night, plus Taekwondo classes on Tue and Thu nights, mix that in with may IT projects at work and I'm already teetering on the edge :aargh4:

I mostly keep busy doing the things that I really enjoy doing.
Well, I was going to say, "my husband" but since he didn't even list ME as one of his reasons to stay happy, he's off my list too. :hh30:

The only comfort I'm finding in anything right now is knowing that within days (literally) I'm going to be holding our son. All else just kind of fades in comparison.
Don't watch the news or open anything in the mail that's financial related. Focus on being thankful for a healthy family and a house that's paid for.

I'm at Ft Riley, KS for pre-deployment training to Afghanistan, so my TV time is strictly limited (no TV, except for the DFAC/chow hall TV for the last month). I am happy to not be bombarded with ads, lies, and commentary from both sides. I'm focused on getting me and my guys ready to deploy...
Sometime in December, after the lawsuits, we'll have our new President and Commander-in-Chief.
Meanwhile, the family adequately prepared with food, water, clothing, guns and ammo...
