Anyone want to take a guess at when he's going to make his grand entrance?
I pick the best day of the entire year to have a baby, November 14th. Coincidentally, that happens to be MY birthday as well. (I think if he is born on the 14th that you should name him Mike. Seems only right to me...)

Here's to a short labor Lima. For your sake and JD's. I've been through 6 birthings, JD will be as worn out as you are, especially since this is the first one.

    Let me see here:

    No sleep
    People screaming/yelling at you
    Foul smells
    No food
Carrying heavy loads in a pack

Tell me again how the first 3 months of a new baby is different than Special Forces training!

You eventually get to kill somebody and get away with it?
You have to make the shot when fire is smoking, people are screaming, dogs are barking, kids are crying and sirens are coming.

Guns in hospitals in TN....not allowed. Good thing you are in VA.

Damn, looks like I didn't win, had the 17th. Any updates Lima? You are now at "Due Day" +1, it's very impolite to keep us waiting! For both of our kids my wife would get a dull backache in the small of her back about 24 hours before labor started. Any signs yet?

    Yeah, how's it going?

Make sure the fateful night/early morning routine goes like this:

    Lima: Honey, it's time!
JD: Huh, wha, oh crap come on let's go
Lima: Grab the bag, hey what are you doing?
JD: I'm posting it on DC so everyone will know, hang on a sec
Lima: Do you want this to be your only child?
JD: Um, good point, lets hit the road.

Well it's funny you should say that....

Last night we had the "dry run" to the hospital, and I did make a post in the staff forum that we were heading out. Lima was having steady contractions in 3-4 minuted intervals, but they stopped this morning.

We were in the hospital till 3am.

    Need more coffee.

The little guy should be hatching soon.

    People...People !

JD would NEVER make his wife wait for something as silly as posting the news.

JD'd use his laptop & wireless connection in the room right after Lima checks in........

Get the ice chips and bad hospital robe ready, cause you're gonna have a baby.

And remember, in case this was never shared with you, IF Lima says some things to you that were a bit off be sure to not take it personally.

My Wife snapped at me once to stop touching her (I was trying to rub her arms), but after the next contraction she apologized and then fell asleep until the next one hit.

I think as long as you don't do a live Webcam broadcast of the delivery, you'll be safe... some.

If Lima is like my wife, JD's arm will be twisted behind his back and he'll be on his knees telling her to breathe!

Been over a year and shoulder is still sore from her cranking on it. But then again, no drugs, natural childbirth drive a woman insane.

Thankfully it was our fourth and final child!!!
