It doesn't look like JD is getting his Marine Corps Birthday Baby.

Poor JD! You'll all have to be nice to him tonight.

I called him to ask him about dinner and the first words out of his mouth were, "ARE YOU IN LABOR?"

I had to give him the sad news.. No Labor and even if I started RIGHT NOW I doubt we'd end up with a Nov 10 baby.

No Marine Corps Birthday Baby.

To which he responded, "That's it! We're going out for Mexican tonight."

Now his goal is a Veteran's Day Baby.

My official due date is one week from tomorrow (Nov 18) and my doctor assured me they will induce me before I make it to December 2.

So, sometime between tonight and December 2nd I'm going to have this baby.

I'm dilated to 1cm, 50% effaced (as of last week's appointment), baby has dropped and is head down, pretty much everything is ready we are just waiting on him.

Anyone want to take a guess at when he's going to make his grand entrance?

Not to scare you but my wife and I have taken 2 sets of parents to be out to eat Mexican food close to their great day. One broke her water in the resturant but both had their babies the next day.

As a father one 3 I will say " It is one of the most amazing feelings in the world to hold the child in your arms for the first time. If I may make a suggestion. We took a picture of each of my kids each week on the same day of the week in the same location. (ie Rocking Chair with same stuffed animal) for 1 full year. After week 52 go back and look at the first photo it will be so hard to remember them so small. The chair and animal will give you a great refence.

Remember to take care of yourself & sleep when the baby sleeps.
