I think you need to move it to the Phoenix area. You'd do much better out here!
Seriously, sounds like you've got a plan. The one thing that's missing from most ranges is the ability to work from the holster. I don't mean in competition, just regular shooting.
Treat me good, I'll treat you better. Treat me bad, I'll treat you worse.
I'm only about 30 minutes, if you would e-mail me with your location I'm interested. Also if I can do anything to help let me know. Good luck in your new venture.

How hard would it be to connect a switch to the motor assembly that once pressed it would trigger a random time intervile ( 5 seconds-20 seconds) then the target will start to advance at you. Bringing it back to towards the beginnig position to practice the 21 ft rule.
Am looking into the various computerized target systems. They vary from ultra high tech to more durable and less finicky (upkeep and replacement costs are important)..

I'd probably be looking at a carrier that has a detachable lower portion. At the range I go to, when you rent a lane, they give you the part that hangs down and you clip your target to and then say 'if you hit this it is $20'.
Then again, they also allow rifle there...someone hitting the metal plates with a 30-06 would be a lot more of a problem than someone hitting them with a 45acp.
