I don't see how it's any different from a regular 1 1/2 man stretcher. It looks like you still have to hold up the back end while the carriage is lifted, except that the carriage is lifted my pneumatics instead of a partner. Without spending much time on the site, I can only assume that now you're lifting the weight of the system too. The old 2 man stretchers were tough on the back, but with the standard 1 1/2 man stretcher today, most injuries come from moving the patient to/from the stretcher, and slip and falls.
