How much input do you think I'd have being on that forum?

That is a nice looking pistol though! I had a Norinco years ago. Loved it' don't know what happened I had to let it go. Young I guess, with other things in mind.
Heck, I don't guess it could hurt, sort of the same as you being on this forum right? We'll see how it works out, but count yourself as one up! Thing is you asked. It never hurts to ask. Good luck! Is your username the same there as here? You can reply with a PM. I might enjoy reading more than anything, just in case I need to be prepared to abscond from the lower 48. ;)

OK, I did it. Hope those Mounties don't come looking for me. If you win, I want the knife. Seems like a pretty small forum, maybe you'll have a chance! What a cheezy prize...a Chinese gun? Couldn't they come up with a neighbor's product, like an Ed Brown or Wilson?

Actually it's a lot easier to get Chinese guns and they are getting to be very good. Your State Department is making life really miserable for exporters and trying to drive them out of the business, I think the costs of the permit can get as high as $75,000. It's easier to get guns into Canada than out of the US nowadays and forget about most AR's, collaspable butts, scope rings, muzzle breaks, etc, etc.
but thanks guys, the forum is a baby step for us to kindle the flame of CCW in a cold hostile world!!

Good luck...
I did my part for you.
I have a Norinco 1911 from way back when the USA still imported them. Good gun, accurate; a "Fluff & Buff" made a tremendous difference as the fit-n-finish were less than stellar, but the forged steel frame is good material. FWIW, the Norinco is one of the frames that is considered acceptable for the .460 Rowland kit.
Stay safe,
Chuck Brick.

I don't usually join these things, but I decided to this time because it only takes me a half hour to drive to Canada. Maybe someday I can carry there too.
