I was reading a thread and it reminded me of a quote I read one time; however, I cannont remember where from, so I was unable to reference it. Let me preface that I may have read this in a book, webpage, or on this forum; I just don't remember where or the quote word for word.
The author was making the point that those who do not defend themselves and rely on others/police, place a higher value on their own life, than the others by waiting for someone else to show up and protect them. Went something like this: "Why is your life so valuable that another should risk their life to protect yours".
Of course that is paraphrased, but hopefully makes the point. Thanks for any help. bm
