    A funny term....

I learned a new word the other day. It is a word or phrase that describes something I've been aware of for years, but had no way to describe.

This thing happens when you carry a phone with a vibrating ring. It's when you feel it vibrating and think you're getting a call. You reach down, but it's not ringing. Sometimes it happens when you don't even have a phone with you at all, that's creepy.
Anyway, the new definition of this anomaly is.....wait for it......

I've experienced many electrical shocks in my line of work over the years. Every now and then, I get those strange sensations also. Crackberry shakes? Maybe....one never knows.

I call it Phantom Ring Syndrome...
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.

I think I need to dust off my aluminum foil hat again. Every few months, someone on the forum gives me a reason to do that.

I have done the 60 cycle shuffle from getting shocked more times than I care to count, not pleasant.

I just think that its a brown recluse spider inside my britches and I start whooping up on myself. I've gotten lots of stange looks from people at Walmart when that happens.

Is this because the phone is in your back pocket?

I think it's more because you think you must be on crack for thinking your phone is ringing. Or because you look like a crackhead for looking so many times when the phone isn't ringing.

I keep a bottle of lens solution that has a ridged cap and a lens case in my pocket with my phone. Sometimes the cap on that bottle gets to "vibrating" and I have to put my hand on it to verify.
The preceding post may contain sarcasm; it's just better that way. However, it is still intended with construction and with the Love of my L-rd Y'shua.

Mine has gone off on vibrate in my pocket and I think someone was trying to get in my pocket. Make a grab for it, look kinda sheepish and go on about my business.
