    "Might of"?

I see this posted everywhere and didn't want to bother correcting this issue before, but I thought I would post this at least once.

It is MIGHT HAVE. Not everything that is said is written the same way.

    MIGHT HAVE
    MIGHT HAVE
    MIGHT HAVE
    MIGHT HAVE
    MIGHT HAVE
It is not "might OF", it is "might HAVE". It is not "could OF", it is "could HAVE". Go spread the word.

I'm grasping for what the topic is.

This might of been more effective if I made the topic clearer...but I wanted people to really think about it.

I'm really here to share the love of self preservation and not really worry about people's grammar. I have bigger fish to fry.
If we corrected every their, they're and there used incorrectly on the sites we would not enjoy them for what they are. YMMV

Next you'll want everyone to run their posts through spellcheck before posting. Personally, I like the gramatical and spelling errors. They make me feel superior, and with my low self esteem, that's a good thing.

    I would've corrected it but you might've corrected me but I should've cared enough...woulda...coulda...shoulda

    Etymology
    Contraction of might and have
    Verb
    might've
Used to express the possibility of something occuring in the past as condition to another non-occuring past event.
If we had gone to Hollywood, we might've met a film star.
Used to express uncertainty about a past event.
I think I might've left my umbrella on the train.
