    Red face A small win

I think we all had to deal with at least one anti-gunner in our lives. I also think there is nothing more unsettling that having an anti-gunner living with you. In my case that applied to my mother who was your tipical hoplophobe. She was not very happy when she moved in with us and had to see guns lying around (No kids) and she was ready to call the bomb squad the first time she found a 9mm round banging inside the dryer. Little by little her complains were less and less vocal and they reached the silence point which I attributed to giving up and accepting the reality that this is my house (Yeah right, tell that to my wife) and my rules.

A couple of nights ago, I had promised the wife to take her car to a gas station and check the pressure in her tires. I came home at my usual midnight and found her keys and a reminder so, as the dutiful husband that I am, I grabbed the keys and headed back outside. Mom was awake and she called from her room:

"Don't forget to take the gun with you."

Hahaha - patience is a virtue - and often brings its rewards.

    Nice one Kudos to Mom!

Maybe that is the key to the anti gun problem. Get every anti gunner to live with a gun owner for awhile. They will then come to find out that we are the good guys. Nope, won't work now that I think about it. I would probably end up strangling the one living with me.
