He is seriously giving that guy a ticket? Whatever! Looks like he had 1to many jelly doughnuts to catch the car. Really he got very, very, lucky that no cars were coming either way.
He should have given himself a ticket! Jumped out of gear!!!!! Yea right.
Actually I will fess up as I did this same thing a couple weeks ago. but not even close to that bad, no wreak or anything. My company van went about 8-10 feet straight ahead at a slow/medium pace but was gaining rapidly.
I came to a stop were I needed to be at the time, my work cell phone rings and I am writing down a few things, pissed off at what it was and just got out.![]()
I had the quickness of Bruce Lee after that thing, I was freakin out. I have a double check system now!![]()

Happy no one was hurt.
Well , Pride....................
Danger aside, that would be embarrassing!
ya spend that much time behind the wheel, stuff like that may happen. Also , some of the PD cars are not in A1 condition. the PRNDL pwal could have been worn.
Still, it is embarrasing and potentially dangerous.
Such language, tisk, tisk!!!!![]()

Chris - probably true LOL!
Gotta say tho - had to feel for the guy - he would not have had a happy return to the department at end of his shift!

"well Sarge, it was like this..." (not a conversation I'd want to have). I would have a hard time restraining my usual sarcastic sense of humor if I was the guy he'd just pulled over.
I feel bad for the guy, I had this happen with a crappy old work truck that was owned by the construction company I used to work for. One day I stopped it and put it in park so I could jump out and grab something real quick, next thing I know I hear someone say "is someone driving that truck?" I think I set a personal speed record going after the $*^# thing. Luckily, I managed to stop it right before it hit a privacy fence (I only had about 2 feet to spare when I got it stopped).

It's funny because nobody was hurt.
I can imagine more than a few ways that could have been bad news though.

Well, here I get up this morning, in the RV near San Diego, as Connie and I finally got out of the desert for a week or so, and come across this item. I must say, it made "my day", as got such a kick out of it for it being so early.
I remember when I worked for the Tel co, and we were in Sequoia Natl Park, stay for a week, when one of the splicers, in an old Dodge Aerial truck, forgot to put out chock blocks much less put it in gear or any emerg brake, at the end of the day. Came out the next morning, couldnt find his truck! Overnite, it had rolled down the mountain, missed every tree, but did land in a creek. Had to call a big tow truck with about 500 ft of cable to retrieve it, and I think he got afew days off for that. He was a "dork" anyway.![]()
Weather here in "dago" this morning is overcast and suppose to rain tonite. Oh well, that's why I am in the RV.![]()

The car problems aside, that fellow needs to cut back on the snacks and get some exercise or he's going to have a heart attack chasing a BG. But it sure was funny!!
