    Paul Blart Mall Cop

Saw the movie today and even tho the reviews say it's good and that it passed Gran Torino in sales last weekend I believe it's because everyone already saw Gran Torino.I felt this movie was extremely lame and really not that funny. There were some college age kids that seemed to enjoy it but me thinks they enjoyed a little smoke before the movie.I would recommend you save your money and wait for the 1.99 DVD at blockbuster

Really? It looked extremely juvenile and lame from the trailer. I'm surprised you even decided to see it.

It's basically something for the 7-year-old crowd.

I was considering going to see it, but now I guess I will just wait till it comes out on dvd and add it to the netflix list.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

Saw yesterday with my son....waste of $10 IMHO.....I should contact every single person involved in making that movie and demand they give me back the 1.5 hours I wasted of my life in watching it.

My 9 year old daughter wants to see it so I think you're right!

We'll wait for the dvd (oughta be about 3 weeks) and then lock her in her room with it and have a quiet evening to ourselves!

Looks like it was based on the writings of Gunkid, the infamous mall ninja of yore. Seeing the promos on TV I figure I've seen the best parts of the movie already. Maybe some day when it is on cable and I am really bored and or drunk I may see more than the promos.

I saw it and will say it had a few funny moments but it's a rental. The BGs are your typical movie bad guys for 8 year old kids; where no one gets hurt or shot. It seemed to be marketed to a "Harold and Kumar" crowd, but it's really for kids.

It's obvious your no Siskel & Ebert, you know what your talking about!
I will admit I used to watch them. If they gave a movie a thumbs down I would go see it, a thumbs up rating and I avoided it like the plague.

I'd remark on the propagating of a stereotype, but for every guy who does a decent job there's three others who don't give a crap. I'll just say it looks as stupid as Pineapple Express and Superbad.

Oddly enough, Pineapple Express and Superbad (and other movies made by the same set of people like Forgetting Sarah Marshall) weren't all that bad, even for a non-stoner. Slightly lame, sure, but that goes along with it... its lame in a funny way, not in the same way a movie like Mall Cop would be

Of course, you do not want to watch the first three movies I listed with the kids
